If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?
I’ve been thinking about this alot lately, with my free time over the holidays. I think it’s important to relax more - especially when you’re your own boss… I guess what I’m saying is I would still like to sleep.
What songs have you completely memorized?
I know the entire Beatles catalog.
Who is your role model and why?
A lot of the people I look up to are local and within my industry. I really look up to my sister, she’s in radio. She is so committed and really good at sticking to her guts in what she does and what she believes. She’s always been herself.
What are the go-to snacks you like to eat?
I like cheddar penguins. They’re better. The shape of the penguin makes it so much better.
According to you, who is the best-dressed person in business?
I really don’t pay attention to what people wear. In the production and design world people don’t dress nicely.
What skill are you determined to master?
Getting better at carpentry, I’m dreaming bigger. Every job is totally different, and I’d like to do more of it myself, rather than hiring someone else.
What three films best describe your personality?
1) My favourite movie is Hook. I love it because it got slammed for being too much. It was very indulgent, but I love the imagination that went into that movie. I watch it 3 times a year.

What’s the best piece of advice you have ever received?
I’m a huge supporter of going to therapy, it changed my life when I started going. The biggest thing is to not become your work. Do not define yourself by your work - its stuff that you do, but it’s not you.
Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your 18-year-old self?
The above advice… don’t take everything so hard, especially when you’re self employed.
Where is your happy place?
I got a little cabin up in Gravenhurst. It’s nice and isolated, and away. I’d like to live there one day.
What are the albums that are the soundtracks your life?
1) Gordon, Bare Naked Ladies, the soundtrack of my childhood
2) Africa, Aminas (music for god’s patio)
Which activities make you lose track of time?
Video games, specifically Zelda, Startdew Valley which is my meditative escape, along with painting, and my work.
How many Gum Balls would it take to fill a Boeing 747 Airplane?
A trillion — is this some sort of weird personality question???
What three words would you use to describe your past three months of your life?
Bit. Too. Relaxing.
Name something you couldn’t go a day without. Why?
Definitely lemon water.
I need to have something to do, I’m bad at having a day off - I need a task.

Do you believe there is a way to turn your passions in to work, and if so, how?
To do that is such a tall order. Take a lot of risks and really believe in yourself. It’s a struggle and you have to fight for it. It’s stronger to realize that your work isn’t your passion.
What’s the last item you purchased with cash?
Video game tokens at an arcade.
